Her connection to an enemy shifter is forged in flame.

When a plane falls from the sky and crashes on Ethan Jacobsen’s ranch, the NTSB investigator who arrives is a lovely, confident wolf shifter. Tamara is smart and sassy, with curves that Ethan longs to explore. She’s a fascinating mix of contradictions. On the outside, she’s gutsy and in control. But on the inside, she’s vulnerable. Fragile. And hiding secrets that are tearing her apart.

Right from the start, sparks fly between them, even though she keeps him at arm’s length.

Ethan’s intrigued by her brains and beauty, and his wolf recognizes her as their fated mate. His usual easy-going demeanor gives way to fierce, primal need. Vowing to win her, he joins the crash investigation, determined to court and claim her.

Despite her best intentions, Tamara finds it impossible to resist the attraction that burns between them. And when she uncovers the cause of the deadly crash, the truth puts her in terrible danger from her former pack. Now, it’s up to Ethan to do whatever it takes to protect his vulnerable mate and make sure they both live to see their happily-ever-after.

Tamara reached up to stroke his stubbled cheek, then drew his face down and kissed him. "Look, why don't we just enjoy what we have right now? And if you do end up moving to DC, maybe we can see each other once in a while." "Because I want more," he said. Yes! The strange presence inside of her rose suddenly, filled with wild joy. "What do you mean?" Tamara fought to keep her tone calm. He can't really mean what I think he means, right? "I want to keep seeing you, Tamara. And not just dating. I want to court you for my mate." He stopped her gasp with a deep, hard kiss. When their lips parted, he continued, "I was serious about leaving Bearpaw Ridge and moving to Washington DC. But I didn't tell you the whole truth—sure, there are jobs there, but it was mostly to be close to you." Oh my God. I want that. I want that so badly. But if I say yes, I'll have to tell him the truth. And that scares me. "But what about your pack?" she forced herself to ask. "I've already talked to them about you. They won't stand in my way." He paused and kissed her again, more gently this time. "I'm crazy about you, Tamara. So's my wolf. Will you let me court you?" He's serious! She stiffened. I either have to break it off right now, or tell him everything and let him end it. Tamara didn't like either of those choices.
